Residents voice their opposition to Brisbane City Council's plan to evict Bramble Bay Pony Club from their decades-long home at Telegraph Rd, Fitzgibbon. Councillor Amanda Cooper (Bracken Ridge Ward) promised to relocate the club to a new purpose-built home in Roghan Rd after announcing the site was to be the location of a new netball facility. Councillor Cooper and Brisbane City Council have now reneged on that promise, terminating the Bramble Bay Pony Club's lease on April 10. Club members have been advised they are to move their horses from the land, with no alternative agistment/club provided as previously promised.
We the undersigned call on the new Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner and Councillor Amanda Cooper (Bracken Ridge Ward) to fulfil their promise to relocate the Bramble Bay Pony Club. This club has been a part of our suburb's history for decades and deserves a place they can call home for decades to come.
