Residents draw to the attention of the Lord Mayor and Brisbane City Council their deep concern at the permanent loss of Brisbane wildlife habitat and corridors, and the rapidly disappearing opportunities to secure such habitat and corridors for future generations, before development closes off opportunities forever.
Your petitioners therefore request that Brisbane City Council take every opportunity to acquire numbers 409, 411, 415, 427, 432 and 440 Beckett Rd, Bridgeman Downs, for the purpose of a Wildlife Corridor across Beckett Rd. With appropriate works, this would provide a highly ecologically valuable Wildlife Corridor between Cabbage Tree Creek (Mountains To Mangroves Corridor) and the substantial Dawn Road Reserve and other habitat many kilometres beyond.
