Residents draw attention to the pedestrian refuge on Pickering St near Hurdcotte St, Enoggera, no longer being a safe and viable option to cross Pickering St. This pedestrian refuge is no longer safe to use when crossing in heavy traffic and can no longer handle the volume of pedestrians and school students using this refuge on a daily basis. This pedestrian refuge is used by pedestrians and school students to access Gaythorne train station, Hillbrook High School, the child care centre, local sporting clubs, parks and businesses.
Your petitioners therefore request that the pedestrian refuge on Pickering St near Hurdcotte St, Enoggera, be upgraded to a signalised pedestrian crossing to provide a safe way for pedestrians and school students to cross Pickering St.
